A large hexagon rather than a mosaic, this Shellstone tile pairs marine heritage with contemporary geometry: a warm palette of muted sandy beige and pale ecru interrupted by an intricate matrix of macro-fossils, delicate shell fragments and sedimentary veining. A specialised brushed finish mutes surface reflection while lifting the tactile depth of the embedded fossils, bringing grounding warmth. At 203 x 176 mm the six-sided format infuses the ancient limestone with modern architectural rhythm across floors and walls. The brushed texture masks micro-abrasions and lends inherent slip resistance, while the dense stone withstands heavy footfall — suiting boutique-wellness atriums, luxury-retail feature walls and coastal-hospitality floors. Producing from selected Shellstone in our own facilities, we calibrate each tile so tone and fossil detail read balanced across large hexagonal installations, bridging biophilic warmth and structured design across a big space.
