Shellstone Brushed Limestone Picket Mosaic Tiles

The picket format gives this fossil-rich limestone its forward drive — elongated, sharply faceted shapes that set up a contemporary directional flow, while the stone itself reads as a record of marine geology. A muted base of warm biscuit, clotted cream and soft taupe is densely populated by calcified fossil inclusions and shell fragments, and the brushed finish subtly erodes the softer matrix to leave a highly tactile, undulating surface. Supplied at 305 x 256 mm, the pickets work laid vertically or horizontally. Set upright they make a height-enhancing cladding for reception walls; laid flat they give a slip-aware floor for spa wet zones and thermal suites, the brushed, weathered face also disguising daily micro-abrasions. It suits splashbacks, feature walls and tactile dining backdrops. Producing from selected Shellstone in our own facilities, we brush and calibrate each sheet so the pickets align across large runs, where any break interrupts the directional flow.
