Calacatta Sugar at architectural scale: a luminous, creamy-white marble crossed by sweeping, ribbon-like veins of burnished gold and soft dove grey, the movement dramatic yet composed. Honed to a velvety matte, the surface offers a tactile depth that reads warm and grounded rather than glossy. Available in formats from 100 mm tiles up to 1200 x 600 mm and 914 mm slabs, it lends itself to sweeping, large-format installations. The stone transforms a master bathroom into a spa-like sanctuary, lays a breathtaking floor across a grand entrance hall, and makes a show-stopping splashback or a monumental feature wall in a formal dining or drawing room. The honed finish keeps floors slip-aware and masks daily wear. Producing from selected Calacatta Sugar blocks in our own facilities, we sequence and calibrate the tiles so the gold-and-grey veining flows naturally across large runs — decisive when matched slabs are meant to read as one continuous surface.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
