Selene Pitted Marble Wall & Floor Tiles
Marble / Multi
The same dramatic Selene stone, given a pitted rather than honed face: a brooding charcoal-to-midnight canvas shattered by an intricate web of crystalline white and ash-grey brecciation, its jagged veining resembling tectonic fissures that encase angular paler shards. What sets it apart is the bespoke pitted finish — a highly tactile, subtly weathered texture that grounds the visual drama with an authentic, organic touch. Available from 305 mm up to 610 mm tiles, it scales across broad surfaces. The pitting boosts slip resistance and camouflages the scuffs that mar gloss, while the dense stone withstands heavy footfall — suiting avant-garde retail floors, mood-led members'-club interiors and grounding wall and floor cladding in corporate wellness and executive washrooms. Producing from selected Selene in our own facilities, we calibrate the tiles so the brecciation and pitted texture read balanced across large runs, holding the imposing character consistent across a big surface.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
