Theatrical and brecciated, Selene honed marble presents a tempestuous canvas of deep charcoal, midnight slate and stormy grey, dramatically fractured by a mesmerising network of icy white and silver crystalline veining — like shattered geological fragments suspended in time. A honed finish gives a tactile matte that captures light to illuminate the stone's depth without full gloss. Available from 100 mm tiles up to 610 mm floor tiles, it scales from detail to sweeping expanses. The stone lays an unforgettable floor across a grand entrance hall, turns a master bathroom into a moody, spa-inspired sanctuary, and makes a show-stopping splashback or a monumental feature wall in a study or living area. The honed finish keeps floors slip-aware and forgiving of daily wear. Producing from selected Selene in our own facilities, we sequence and calibrate the tiles so the brecciated veining flows convincingly across large runs, matched so a dramatic surface reads as one.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
