Calacatta Sugar Tumbled Marble Herringbone Mosaic Tiles
Marble / Multi
This Calacatta Sugar mosaic pairs the movement of a herringbone with the softened character of a tumbled finish: each marble baton is laid on the diagonal, then worn at the edges and matted across the face so the cream, ivory and golden-honey tones take on an aged, tactile quality. Fine natural veining threads through the stone and shifts from sheet to sheet, leaving each run subtly its own — the honest signature of tumbled natural marble. The combination of angled geometry and worn texture reads as relaxed rather than formal, which makes it a comfortable fit for bathroom floors and walls, kitchen splashbacks and character feature walls in transitional, rustic and Mediterranean schemes. The tumbled surface adds useful grip underfoot in wet areas. Cut from our own blocks and calibrated by the sheet, the batons meet cleanly across large deliveries, holding the chevron legible while the tumbling keeps every piece individual.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
