This tumbled Calacatta Sugar hexagon works at a bolder scale than its one-inch sibling — a generous two-inch honeycomb whose larger cells give the creamy marble room to show its sweeping veins of amber, warm ochre and sun-gold. Tumbling rounds each edge and matts the face to an antiqued, tactile finish, so the stone reads aged and hand-worked while the wider hexagons keep the geometry calm rather than busy. Offered in 100 mm and 305 mm sheets, the pattern suits both compact detail and broad floors. The worn, slightly abraded surface earns genuine grip underfoot, which makes it a practical as well as characterful pick for bathroom floors, wet rooms and shower areas, alongside splashbacks and feature walls in heritage or rustic schemes. Produced from our own consistent blocks and calibrated sheet by sheet, the larger hexagons align cleanly across sizeable deliveries, so a big floor settles into one even honeycomb while the tumbling keeps each tile subtly its own.

- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
