
Carrara White - Platinum Grey Honed Marble Brick Mosaic Tiles

This brick mosaic plays two marbles against one another: milky Carrara White laid alongside heavily veined Platinum silver-grey, staggered in a running brick bond that gives the contrast a steady horizontal rhythm. The honed finish keeps both stones matte and velvety, so the stormy grey veining reads as drawn line rather than glare and the white stays soft rather than stark. Offered in 100 mm and 305 mm sheets, the bond scales from tight splashback detail to broader walls and floors. The matte, softly grippy surface suits bathroom floors, wet rooms and shower enclosures, as well as kitchen splashbacks and understated feature walls in heritage or contemporary schemes. Because the grey veining varies block to block, we produce and calibrate each sheet from selected material in our own facilities, sequencing the bricks so the contrast reads balanced across large runs rather than clustering — a real consideration when two tones share one surface.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
