Dolomite Spider Tumbled Marble Octagon Mosaic Tiles
Marble / White
The spider veining sets this one apart: a milky-white dolomite octagon tessellation delicately fractured by fine, erratic filaments of copper, burnt sienna and warm rust that wander across each piece, with miniature square cabochons of muted storm-grey anchoring the pattern at the joints. Tumbling softens the crisp octagon edges to a rounded, matte, light-absorbing finish, so the warm veining reads antiqued and artisanal rather than sharp. Supplied on a 305 mm sheet, the octagon-and-dot geometry builds a rich, textural rhythm. Dolomite's high mineral density makes it hard-wearing, while the tumbled surface masks daily micro-scratches and the dense joints lend strong grip — well suited to hydrotherapy suites, heritage conservatory floors and artisanal washroom walls. Producing from selected dolomite in our own facilities, we tumble and calibrate each sheet so the octagons and cabochons meet cleanly and the veining reads evenly across large runs.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
