Cleaner and cooler than its spider-veined relative, this dolomite octagon mosaic keeps to a luminous white with understated grey veining, set in a classic octagon-and-dot configuration that carries a quiet, timeless grandeur. Tumbling gives the surface a subtly antiqued patina and softly rounded edges, warming the crisp geometry and lifting slip resistance in the process. Supplied on a 305 mm sheet, the pattern lays up cleanly across broad areas. Prized for being noticeably denser and harder than traditional marble, dolomite offers real structural resilience, so the tumbled surface suits high-traffic settings — hotel lobbies, corporate reception floors and premium residential schemes — where durability and understated luxury matter equally. Producing from selected dolomite in our own facilities, we tumble and calibrate each sheet so the octagons and dots keep their spacing and the patina reads evenly across large orders, letting a big floor settle into one coherent surface.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
