Rosso Levanto Honed Rustic Edge Square Mosaic Tile
Marble / Red
A rare depth of colour anchors this mosaic: Rosso Levanto marble in saturated oxblood and bruised cherry, streaked with erratic, lightning-like fissures of stark white calcite that web across the small square tesserae in intense geological drama. A honed finish gives a muted, velvety matte that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, amplifying the stone's moodiness, while the intentionally chipped, rustic edges simulate centuries of gentle wear for a grounded, artisanal feel. Supplied on a 305 mm sheet, the grid lays up across walls and floors alike. The dense joints and matte, distressed surface lift traction underfoot and conceal daily scuffs, so the drama holds up in real use. It suits atmospheric cladding in tasting rooms and cellars, artisanal food-hall backsplashes and commanding feature walls in low-lit members' lounges. Producing from selected Rosso Levanto in our own facilities, we calibrate each sheet so the squares and their rustic edges read consistently across large runs.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
