Classic Polished Travertine Basket Weave Mosaic Tile
Travertine / Multi
Warm travertine takes on a woven order in this polished basket-weave mosaic, rectangular tiles turning over and under in interlocking bars across a palette of beige, soft cream and gentle tan. Polishing raises the stone's fine linear veining and organic texture to an even, low sheen — light without the hard glare that can feel clinical — so the crema tones read rich and inviting. Offered in 100 mm and 305 mm sheets, the weave scales from splashback detail to broad reception floors. The woven format brings pattern and direction, making it a natural fit for hotel bathrooms, feature bands, lobby floors and heritage boot rooms that want warmth and rhythm underfoot. Working from our own travertine, we fill and calibrate each sheet so the geometry stays true across large deliveries — a real concern when a pattern this legible exposes any misalignment or open pitting.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
