The most vivid of the ledgers, this Scabos Travertine panel carries a deeply textured tapestry of rich golds, rustic coppers, warm creams and stormy greys — a wild, multi-toned geological story. The raw split-face finish creates a highly tactile, three-dimensional surface that catches and scatters light, bringing architectural dynamism and robust character. At 152 x 610 mm the interlocking panels stack into a sculptural wall. Best suited to vertical statements rather than floors, it clads magnificent fireplace surrounds, dramatic feature walls in grand living spaces and bespoke architectural alcoves, the interplay of earthen tones and rugged shadow anchoring a room with welcoming warmth. Working from our own travertine, we select and calibrate the panels so the multi-toned character reads balanced across a run, holding the rugged rhythm consistent where any mismatch would break it.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
