
Light Travertine Tumbled Paving Patio Cobble Tiles

Built for the outdoors, this Light Travertine cobble brings sun-bleached warmth to terraces and paths: a pale palette of biscuit, rich cream and calcified ivory, tumbled so each paver's edges are gently distressed and its face matted to a light-diffusing, tactile surface. The stone's characteristic voids and natural pitting add engaging texture and a heritage-rich, grounded feel. Supplied as 300 x 150 x 30 mm cobbles in an Opus pattern set, it lays up into richly varied paving. Its density and cobble format resist compressive load, while the pitted surface and frequent joints lift slip resistance for damp outdoor zones — and, once sealed, the stone stands up to the UK's freeze-thaw cycles. It suits al fresco dining terraces, heritage courtyards, garden pathways and pool surrounds. Working from our own travertine, we tumble and calibrate the cobbles so tone and texture read balanced across a run, weathering evenly across a whole landscape.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
