The tumbled counterpart to its honed relative, this travertine honeycomb trades smoothness for age: a rich mix of creamy ivory, warm sandy beige and deep walnut tones across generous two-inch hexagons, each edge softly worn and the face matted so the stone's organic pitting reads as genuine history. The wider cells let the tonal blend and natural variation take centre stage. Offered in 100 mm and 305 mm sheets, the pattern lays up across floors and walls alike. The pitted, gently abraded surface earns strong grip underfoot, making it a natural fit for bathroom floors, wet rooms and showers as well as textural splashbacks and feature walls in heritage boot rooms or grand entrance halls. Working from our own travertine, we fill, tumble and calibrate each sheet so the hexagons hold their spacing and the tonal mix balances across large runs — the consistency that keeps a blended, aged palette from clustering on a big floor.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
