Shellstone Limestone - Mix Travertine Honed Starline Mosaic Tiles
Travertine / Multi
The Starline pattern gives this honed travertine its precision: pale, creamy-ivory hexagons form a luminous ground, intersected by diamond-cut clasts of warm ochre and toasted almond that converge into crisp six-pointed stars. Rather than a distressed treatment, a honed finish mutes the stone's natural porosity to a hushed, velvet-like plane, balancing organic warmth against sharp contemporary geometry. Supplied at 305 x 264 mm, the stars repeat cleanly across a floor or wall. The dense lattice of joints across the Starline lifts traction underfoot, while the matte face conceals daily wear — practical in busy public zones. It suits light-filled corporate atriums, directional pathways through boutique-hotel receptions and feature walls in private banking suites. Working from our own travertine, we fill, hone and calibrate each sheet so the stars meet cleanly and the two tones read balanced across large runs, holding this geometry true where any drift would show.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
