Shellstone Limestone - Mix Travertine Tumbled Starline Mosaic Tiles
Travertine / Multi
This Starline trades its honed sibling's smoothness for age: cream-toned hexagons in pale ivory and bleached sand set the ground, interspersed with sharper diamond inserts of toasted biscuit and warm walnut that converge into six-pointed stars. Because the travertine is classically tumbled, its natural voids, soft pitting and abraded edges come to the fore, subduing reflection into a tactile matte steeped in artisanal heritage. Supplied at 305 x 264 mm, the stellar geometry repeats across floors and walls. The dense joints and softly distressed surface lift traction and camouflage daily wear, making it well judged for sunlit atriums and thermal hydrotherapy suites, artisanal dining feature walls and heritage-refurbishment floors. Working from our own travertine, we fill, tumble and calibrate each sheet so the stars meet cleanly and the two tones read balanced across large runs — holding this intricate pattern true where any drift or uneven ageing would quickly show.

Read Before You Specify
- Honed, polished, tumbled or brushed — which finish should you specify?Specify honed for interior floors, tumbled or brushed where the surface gets wet, and polished only where there is no slip requirement. All four start from the same slab; the finish changes grip, how visibly it wears, and how often it needs sealing — not the stone itself.
- Marble or travertine — which should you specify?Specify marble where a polished, low-absorption surface matters, and travertine where texture, grip and warmth matter more. Marble absorbs about 0.15% of its weight in water against travertine at roughly 2.6%, but the two overlap in compressive strength — porosity and strength are separate properties.
