Choosing a finish
Honed travertine has a smooth, matt surface and suits interior floors and walls. Tumbled travertine has softened edges and a slightly worn texture, which gives more grip and suits wet areas such as bathroom floors. Polished travertine has a reflective surface, so keep it for walls and for places with no slip requirement.
Travertine in hotels and commercial bathrooms
Travertine is more porous than marble, absorbing about 2.6% of its weight in water against about 0.15% for marble. It works well in hotel and commercial bathrooms, but it should be sealed, and the sealer should be renewed as the surface wears.

- Yes. The mosaics on this page are examples of past production, not a fixed list. Send us a drawing or a photo of the pattern you want.
- Is travertine mosaic suitable for hotel bathrooms?
- Yes, if it is specified and sealed properly. A tumbled finish gives more grip on a wet floor than a polished one. Travertine is porous, so it should be sealed.
- What is the difference between honed and tumbled travertine mosaic?
- Honed travertine is smooth and matt with crisp edges. Tumbled travertine has softened edges and a rougher, aged surface.
- Do you supply small quantities?
- We work on wholesale and project orders, not small retail quantities. If you are an importer, distributor, contractor or project team, tell us your total quantity.
- Do you ship travertine mosaics outside Türkiye?
